Know the All-Inclusive Salvation of the Spirit as a Process

1 Thes. 5:23
And the God of peace Himself sanctify you wholly, and may your spirit and soul and body be preserved complete, without blame, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.

John 3:6
That which is born of the flesh is flesh, and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Heb. 10:39
But we are not of those who shrink back to ruin but of them who have faith to the gaining of the soul.

Rom. 12:2
And do not be fashioned according to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of the mind that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and well pleasing and perfect.

Phil. 3:21
Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

Know the Word of God as the “Logos”

2 Tim. 3:16
All Scripture is God-breathed and profitable for teaching, for conviction, for correction, for instruction in righteousness,

John 17:17
Sanctify them in the truth; Your word is truth.

John 15:13
You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you.

Heb. 4:12
For the word of God is living and operative and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit and of joints and marrow, and able to discern the thoughts and intentions of the heart.

2 Tim. 3:15
And that from a babe you have known the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise unto salvation through the faith which is in Christ Jesus.

Know the Word of God as the “Rhema”

Matt. 4:4
But He answered and said, It is written, “Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out through the mouth of God.”

Rom. 10:17
So faith comes out of hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

Matt. 26:75
And Peter remembered the word which Jesus had said, Before a rooster crows, you will deny Me three times. And he went out and wept bitterly.

Eph. 6:17
And receive the helmet of salvation and the sword of the Spirit, which Spirit is the word of God,

Know How to Pray

Jude 20
But you, beloved, building up yourselves upon your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit,

1 Tim. 2:1
I exhort therefore, first of all, that petitions, prayers, intercessions, thanksgivings be made on behalf of all men;

1 Tim. 2:8a
I desire therefore that men pray in every place…

Acts 10:9
And on the next day as they were journeying and drawing near to the city, Peter went up on the housetop to pray around the sixth hour.

Unceasingly pray,

7    If you abide in Me and My words abide in you, ask whatever you will, and it shall be done for you.
8    In this is My Father glorified, that you bear much fruit and so you will become My disciples.

Learn to Submit to Authority

Matt. 28:18
And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth.

Rom. 13:1
Let every person be subject to the authorities over him, for there is no authority except from God, and those which exist are ordained by God.

Heb. 13:17
Obey the ones leading you and submit to them, for they watch over your souls as those who will render an account, that they may do this with joy and not groaning; for this would be unprofitable to you.

Acts 5:28-29
28    Saying, We strictly charged you not to teach based upon this name; and behold, you have filled Jerusalem with your teaching and intend to bring this man’s blood upon us.
29    But Peter and the apostles answered and said, It is necessary to obey God rather than men.

Learn to Have a Heart for Others and Their Salvation

Matt. 20:28
Just as the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve and to give His life as a ransom for many.

Phil. 2:20
For I have no one like-souled who will genuinely care for what concerns you;

2 Cor. 12:15
But I, I will most gladly spend and be utterly spent on behalf of your souls. If I love you more abundantly, am I loved less?

Live a Life of Faith by Trusting in God for All Needs

Phil. 4:18-19
18    But I have received in full all things and abound; I have been filled, receiving from Epaphroditus the things from you, a sweet-smelling savor, an acceptable sacrifice, well-pleasing to God.
19    And my God will fill your every need according to His riches, in glory, in Christ Jesus.

Matt. 6:31-33
31    Therefore do not be anxious, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, With what shall we be clothed?
32    For all these things the Gentiles are anxiously seeking. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things.
33    But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

The Matter of Practice Re-Emphasized

Heb. 5:14
But solid food is for the full-grown, who because of practice have their faculties exercised for discriminating between both good and evil.
